Mextesol (Oct 2009)

Monterrey, N.Leon, held one of the biggest events for Mexican English Teachers this year. Last year's event was held in Guanajuato, and the coming Mextesol will be held here in Cancun, Quintana Roo.
Mextesol is a very outstanding event known by every English teacher. Each event suprises the teachers with interesting lectures, writers of many course books, well-known lecturers, and the exposition of many publising houses such as Pearson Longman, Oxford Handbooks, Cambridge and more.
Among the topics exposed in the lectures, English Teachers could choose to attent to workshops for creating teaching material, for developing critical thinking, for adding humour and motivation in the language classroom, etc. On the keynote addresses we could find about technological applications to our teaching, the usage of vocabulary, training on skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. The plenaries were the major lectures, ranging from teaching assessment, integrated learning, updates in English Teaching, and new teaching trends.
The Irlanda Academy could not miss the opportunity to attend to this event and be updated with the latest trends on teaching, suggestions regarding skill training, language competences and more useful topics to be at the forefront to teaching English, as it has always been known.

X-mas Event

As every year, the Irlanda Academy prepares a small presentation with its beginner students. This year, is the time for Teacher Paulina, Lorena Gudiño y Wendy's students to delight the parents, visitors, students and public with their participation.

What they are to do is still unknown...

The event will take place at the academy at 5:30 pm, afterwards the report cards will be given and Irlanda academy will be finished with 2009 activities, looking forward to start activities next year on January, 6th 2010.
